The French onion soup is the classic order, and the boneless wings are the reason people stay for a second round.

It started as a cozy neighborhood bar more than 15 years ago and grew into a full-service restaurant doing hearty American classics, a deep craft beer list and real cocktails. Regulars swear by the French onion soup and the boneless wings. The reason to bookmark it is the calendar. Monday is half-off one-topping pizza after 3PM. Tuesday is 60-cent naked boneless wings. Wednesday is a third-pound burger with soup or fries and a soft drink ($11.99 lunch, $13.99 dinner).

Thursday is half-off wings all day. Friday is all-you-can-eat perch ($17.99 lunch, $20.99 dinner). Weekends bring a half slab of BBQ ribs with a quarter chicken and slaw for $21.99. There's a weekday happy hour (2-5PM, from 3PM on Monday) and an $11.99 pick-two lunch combo Tuesday through Friday, dine-in only. During football season, every Sunday noon Bears game comes with a free halftime buffet of wings, sliders and loaded nachos, plus drink specials and raffles. Hours: Monday-Wednesday 3PM-1AM, Thursday 11AM-1AM, Friday-Saturday 11AM-2AM and Sunday 11AM-midnight; the kitchen closes an hour or two before the bar.
