The Berkshire Room

DrinkRiver North · Cocktail Bar Community-sourced, unverified

📍 15 E Ohio St, Chicago, IL 60611

The Berkshire Room's whole appeal is the Dealer's Choice program — rather than ordering off a fixed menu, you pick your glass shape, your base spirit, and a flavor profile, and the bartender takes it from there.

$$$

The Dealer's Choice program — pick a glass, a spirit, and a flavor, and the bartender builds a custom cocktail from there, in a candlelit room at the ACME Hotel's entrance.

It's a format that rewards a little trust and curiosity, in a candlelit, leather-banquette room tucked right at the entrance to the ACME Hotel in River North. The room is small enough and popular enough that a reservation isn't optional if you want a seat on a weekend — this fills fast, and walking in on a whim is a real gamble.

It's the kind of bar built for people who already know what they like in a drink and want a bartender who can actually build around that, rather than picking off a laminated list.
