The Heartbreaker Burger, a chorizo smash patty piled with grilled onions, jalapenos, and jalapeno ranch, is the only food on the menu, which tells you what Sweethearts is actually for: drinking, dancing, not overthinking dinner. The recurring Lover's Lounge series brings in guest DJs spinning rare 1960s vinyl, and like most of the bar's dance nights, it's free with no cover. It's attached to Lonesome Rose, itself a Michelin Bib Gourmand regular since its 2017 Logan Square debut, with the Andersonville outpost (and Sweethearts next door) arriving later.
Karaoke and piano sing-alongs round out the regular programming alongside the DJ nights, giving the bar a rotating set of reasons to show up on an otherwise quiet midweek. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
