Shaw's has been Lettuce Entertain You's seafood house since 1984, working directly with fishermen and farmers to fly in daily catches from both coasts and then mostly staying out of their way: simple preparations, quality first. The room is cast in a 1940s style and split in two, with the lively, casual Oyster Bar on one side and the white-tablecloth Main Dining Room on the other. The menu covers oysters from both coasts, Florida stone crab with mustard mayo, king crab legs by the pound, a $38 crab cake, a classic lobster roll, sushi and fresh fish, and it ends, as it should, with key lime pie. Schaumburg has its own deal lineup.

There's a $40 three-course lunch daily from 11:30am to 3:30pm, and nightly three-course dinner specials of chowder, gumbo or Caesar, then an entrée and a mini dessert duo. Weekday Oyster Bar happy hour, 3 to 5pm, adds $5 fish tacos, $15 mini lobster rolls and $5 draft beer. It's open from 11:30am daily. Book on OpenTable.
