The way to see it without a seafood-tower budget is the bar happy hour, Monday through Friday from 4 to 5:30pm. Signature sushi drops to $10 a roll — hand-cut hamachi with citrus kosho, bluefin tuna and avocado, spicy ebi shrimp with coconut and basil — with $5 nigiri (akami tuna, Ora King salmon, hamachi), $10 yellowfin tuna crispy rice, $10 shrimp ceviche, $10 RPM pearl oysters served chilled or char-broiled, and an $18 prime steakburger with white cheddar. Drinks hold the same line: $10 martinis (classic dirty, espresso or lemon drop), a Flecha Azul paloma, a blackberry mule and a seasonal old fashioned, $10 wines by the glass from prosecco to Santa Barbara pinot noir, $5 Stella, and $5 zero-proof options.
It's bar seating only for happy hour, so arrive early on Fridays. Like the rest of the Lettuce group, a 3.5% surcharge is added to checks and removed on request.
