Pretty Cool Ice Cream

Food + DrinkLogan Square · Ice Cream Bars / Popsicles Community-sourced, unverified

📍 2353 N California Ave, Chicago, IL 60647

Pretty Cool Ice Cream skips the cone entirely and builds its whole identity around ice cream bars and popsicles, dipped and dressed up in flavors that read more like a dare than a dessert menu: caramel horchata crunch, a literal Chicago mix bar, Key lime pie, mango lassi.

The most purely Chicago move was a real collaboration series with the CTA, turning individual train lines into their own limited-run bar flavors.

Dairy-free and kid-sized options round out the lineup, and everything's made with locally sourced ingredients — a genuinely different format from the city's scoop-shop crowd, worth a stop specifically because it isn't trying to be another cone place.
