Pita Inn - Glenview

FoodGlenview (suburb) · Middle Eastern Community-sourced, unverified
📍 9854 N Milwaukee Avenue, Glenview, IL 60016

Pita Inn Glenview opened on Milwaukee Avenue in 2003, halfway between the Skokie and Wheeling locations.

The falafel plate (six patties with tahini, hot sauce and rice) with a side of the original hummus and pita baked daily at the family bakery.

Ask the manager for the secret to its success and you'll get the restaurant's own favorite line: "We make our food with love." The Pita Inn story starts in 1972, when Falah Tabahi arrived in the U.S. at 20 with a few dollars. He and his wife Asma opened the first restaurant in Skokie in 1982, and the family still runs all five, with every recipe built to his standards. Expect fast, cheap, halal Middle Eastern food made from scratch: pita baked daily at the family bakery, beef and chicken shawarma off the rotisserie, shish, kefta and lamb kabobs with rice and salad, the house hummus sold at Costco, and fan-favorite falafel.

There's ample seating, a newly expanded parking lot and outdoor tables in summer. Hours run 11am to 10pm Sunday through Thursday and until 11pm Friday and Saturday. Open every day of the year (Thanksgiving until 3pm), with pickup through the Pita Inn app and delivery on DoorDash, Grubhub and Uber Eats.
