Oud Coffee & Cafe

Super GemRiver North · Cafe / Middle Eastern Community-sourced, unverified
📍 714 N Wells St, Chicago, IL 60654

Oud Coffee & Cafe is a River North cafe built by a group of first-generation Palestinian American friends, and it's grown fast enough to open two more Chicago-only locations (Wicker Park and Pilsen) within a single year.

The Oud Latte (espresso, cardamom, pistachio, fresh mint) — Axios's 2025 Chicago coffee shop roundup, halal and alcohol-free

The signature move is the Oud Latte — espresso mixed with cardamom, pistachio, and fresh mint — a drink distinctive enough to earn Axios's praise in its December 2025 roundup of the Chicago coffee shops that impressed that year.

Beyond the coffee program, the menu runs through smoothies, sandwiches, salads, pastries, and Middle Eastern treats, all halal and alcohol-free, in a cafe that's clearly built its following on a genuinely distinctive drink menu rather than just another third-wave coffee shop.
