Weekends switch to $5 mimosas all day Saturday and Sunday, which is the kind of deal that makes a patio brunch on Western Avenue feel like a plan rather than an accident.
The other thing worth knowing is the milk bar: boozy shakes built on Zarlengo's gelato, plus vegan gelato and a real plant-based menu with Beyond Meat options, so a mixed group doesn't have to negotiate. A note on the name: this is not the original 1967 Nicky's hot dog stand near Midway, despite the shared branding. Hours run 10am to 9pm Monday through Saturday and 11am to 9pm Sunday; it closes on major holidays.
