Magnifico Coffee

Super GemAvondale · Cafe / Colombian Community-sourced, unverified
📍 3063 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60618

Magnifico Coffee is a genuinely family affair: siblings Ricardo Acebedo-Diaz, Angelica Acebedo-Frint, and Marisol Acebedo Fisher built this Avondale coffee roastery around their Colombian roots, right down to a mural painted by Angelica's husband, designer Adam Frint.

Pan de bono and almojabana Colombian cheese breads alongside house-roasted Colombian coffee, plus live DJ nights — Axios's 2025 roundup

The menu leans fully into that identity — Colombian-roasted coffee alongside pan de bono and almojabana cheese breads and Colombian sodas — and the shop has become enough of a neighborhood gathering spot that Axios specifically called out its live DJ nights in a December 2025 roundup of the Chicago coffee shops that impressed that year.

It's the kind of cafe that treats coffee as one part of a larger cultural hangout rather than the whole point.
