The kitchen leans past the usual taco-and-elote lineup into wood-oven seafood — grilled octopus, striped bass, tuna — and a molten Oaxacan fondue, which is why the deals here are better than they look on paper. Happy hour runs Tuesday through Friday from 5 to 7pm with $8 lime margaritas, palomas and salmoncitos, $4 Estrella Jalisco, $10 select wine glasses, $5 Gran Malo shots, $12 guacamole and $10 esquites. Then the week gets its own rhythm: Tuesday is $5 select tacos all day, Wednesday brings $2.50 grilled oysters all day (a wood-fire version of the oyster deal most places do raw), Thursday knocks half off bottles of wine, and Friday adds $5 tequila and mezcal shots.
Sunday has the most fun of the bunch: a brunch happy hour from 11am to noon with $9 micheladas built on Monopolio Negra and a house mix, $6 mimosas, $8 margaritas and those $2.50 grilled oysters again, before the regular brunch list of carajillos, Mexican 75s and Bloody Marys. Weekends stretch late with Vino & Vinyl nights. It's open 4 to 11pm Tuesday through Thursday, until midnight Friday and Saturday, Sunday 11am to 4pm, and closed Monday.
