Everything here is made from scratch by chefs in its own culinary trainee program, and the whole pizzas, 12 to 18 inches, come out of a stone oven with a house cheese blend of buffalo milk mozzarella, whole milk mozzarella and provolone. Order online and you can swap the olive oil for Wagyu beef tallow for free, which Frato's says no other pizzeria in the country is doing. The specialty list includes an award-winning Chicago-style Italian beef pizza with hot giardiniera, a gyro pizza and an Adult Mac & Cheese pie that showed up on Chicago's Best. The famous order, though, is the Cheesepull Experience, huge handmade mozz sticks stretched with buffalo mozzarella, and on Sundays only the kitchen makes El Masivo Gringo, a 13-inch taco-seasoned mozz stick for $8.99.
Saturdays bring a $2.99 one-pound specialty slice for walk-ins, there's a new chef's burger every month, and the jumbo wings come in an award-winning whiskey BBQ sauce. Online orders get the Pizza Bailout deals, like two 12-inch pizzas for $10 each, and every direct order is backed by a love-it-or-it's-free guarantee. The adjoining VIP Gaming room opens at 10am for the 21-and-up crowd.
