More than three decades and four ownership groups later, Chuck Rayyan and his sons Jerry and Bobby have run the place for the past 13-plus years, keeping the formula exactly what it's always been: real Chicago dogs, Italian beef, burgers, and fresh-cut fries, nothing reinvented. The Rayyan family's community involvement runs deep enough that Chuck has been dubbed Deerfield's own 'social mayor,' a reputation built on local sponsorships and charity work as much as the food.
The résumé speaks for itself too — Dear Frank's was inducted into the Vienna Beef Hall of Fame in July 2013, an honor reserved for hot dog and deli operators who've built a real, lasting reputation in their community. No coupon or happy-hour deal here; the hot dog has done the talking for almost 50 years.
