Chicago Brauhaus spent 52 years as Lincoln Square's nightly oompah-band beer hall before closing for good in December 2017 — but it didn't disappear so much as move.

Former owners Harry and Guenther Kempf partnered with the DANK Haus German-American Cultural Center to relocate much of the original bar's interior into a dedicated 'Brauhaus Room' on DANK Haus's second floor, reopening in September 2020.
